Differences

Well I thought that since I had a girl and then a boy that I had these pregnancy symptoms down, I knew what to expect for each one (and correct me if I am wrong but it can only go one of two ways -boy or girl). Now I am very worried as to what exactly I am carrying, the symptoms are new and totally different:

The girl: no signs or symptoms the first trimester, well that is not totally true I was super tired, pretty much slept through the holidays that year. My complexion was flawless all 9months, and never in my 3 trimesters did I experience the need to pee every five minutes. I started showing and wearing maternity clothes at about 15weeks or so. It was wonderful.

The boy: I knew it was a boy from the moment of implantation because I peed ever 5 minutes and that never stopped. I was totally exhausted the first trimester. And to top it off my complexion was horrible all through the pregnancy, I broke out like I was in high school again. I started showing at about 10 weeks and wearing maternity clothes about 12weeks.

This baby (or the moose): From my calculations I am about 6 weeks. I have been nauseous since about 4 1/2 weeks (that is why I took a test) The nausea comes and goes all day with no rhythm or reason. I haven't noticed a huge increasing in peeing but did I mention that I am experiencing nausea(never once with the other two). And if you look at me sideways, there is a small bump!!!! Yes small but it is there. I refuse to go retrieve the maternity clothing boxes from under the house. Six weeks and there is a bump, I am really afraid that this child might just be a moose.

So there you have it. I have my first appointment on Thursday the 10th, then I will have the doctors official due date. My own personal predicted due date is April 20th, 2010. Serafina's due date was July 20th and Matteo's was November 20th. So personally I like my due date for poetic reasons.

Just so you can all see what I mean:

Just over a month ago, washboard abs (OK not washboard but flat)

Tonight
(a bump..and no I am not pushing my stomach out)

Applesauce

Last Friday Auntie Jen had a great idea to go out to Gopher Glen, a local apple farm, pick some fresh apples and then head home to make some applesauce!! The kids had a great time slicing, stirring and mashing! Thanks for a great day Auntie Jen.

First we peeled the apples:

Then we boiled and stirred the apples:

Then we smashed the apples:

After that we enjoyed the applesauce while it was still warm...yummy!

Coming to an end..

Summer that is; slowly coming to an end in out neck of the world. There are less and less kids out and about during the days and the tourist have dwindled to a small handful. A few schools started on Monday and the rest seem to be starting tomorrow (yes as in Thursday). We said a tearful goodbye to Karlee today as she headed down south to start the adventures of college!!

However for us we still have a few more days as the kids school doesn't start until September 1st. My mom and I have been trying hard to come up with one exciting adventure, art project, outing, or what not so that we don't go stir crazy with the kids these finally week. So far so good.

One such project was cookie decorating. I had left over train cookies I was making for SMVRR so i got out the extra frosting and sprinkles and let the kids go to town. I thought I would share a few photos!

VEGAS

With no vacations planned this summer, when my mother-in-law mentioned Vegas I jumped at the chance to go, just to get away for a few days. Sam had summer school so Matt said he could stay (because school is important) but I had to take the other two! No problem, pool, arcade and well just another place to explore then the central coast I knew we would have fun. So the group that went was Betsy (mother-in-law), Karlee (sister-in-law) and 3 Regusci's (Serafina, Matteo, and Myself). We all had a great time. It was hot but not unbearable. We spent the days by the pool, exploring different hotels and even found a shark aquarium that Serafina and Matteo could not get enough of. At night we would put the kids in bed and then who was ever tired would stay in the room while the other "grown ups" headed down to the casino to see what was happening. None of us are big gamblers but we love the people watching. I did find a love for blackjack and gave it a go. I didn't do to bad, I played on the same 50 dollars for 2 nights and walked away with $35. that was only a $15 dollar loss but I did get hours..hours...of enjoyment out of the deal, so I don't feel bad. Here are the pictures to tell the rest of the stories:

We stayed at eh Luxor (i wouldn't recommended it). The kids loved the pyramids.

Smile!

Karlee found a cute guy in Vegas?!? Hum...

Serafina had to get in the pictures, there was a castle in the background!

A picture from the cool aquarium! She is doing her fish impression.

Matteo did not want his picture with the red MM.

Swiming with the random cute guy.

This was the funnest thing Matteo had to wear goggles. What a cutie!

Karlee and her kids.

Yes I was there!

After a long day!

And of course you have to have one: What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
