My Designer Living Room

I would kill for a Pottery Barn living room.

Since I was little I dreamed about my Pottery Barn living room.

Big overstuffed couch with the tailored covers. Decorative candles and what nots just so.

Totally awesome picture wall, of coursed cover with wonderfully artist pictures of my children, whom are perfect and don't touch said pictures!

Seriously, does it get any better than this?

But....instead.....in place

Of my dream

I have -

Distressed leather couches as to hide the multitude of milk, water, ice cream, and etc stains

A train table as my coffee table. Yes I said it...a train table.

Candles, glasses vase?! Haha!

Picture wall? You actually have to have time to get photos printed and then framed and then on the wall.  Hahaha!

But...

To top it all off I also get these in the middle of my living room:

Yes who doesn't want a cow, dinosaur and giraffe in the middle of their living?

I really try desperately to keep these guys hidden but somehow they always manage to find their way back out.

Normally I have to hide them before I can sit down on the couch to relax but tonight as I went to move them they struck me.

They looked like they were talking, telling secrets.

I soaked them up as I thought about which child had pulled them out today.

Was it Matteo, missing his big kids since they were at school he turned towards his animal friends?

Was it Serafina, deep in her imaginary play and they were her princess helpers?

Was it Sam, trying hard to be the cool 9 yr old who doesn't play with baby toys, but since no one is looking maybe just maybe I will just sit on one to watch a little show, since no one is looking?

And there is AJ, who loves them. To climb over them and head plant on the other side giggling like a crazy man.

I had to leave them tonight.

I may not have my Pottery Barn living room.

But I do have a room that is lived in. A room that is loved. A room where our family is making memories to last.

And that makes me happy.

Crazy stuffed animals and all!

Pottery Barn would BE so lucky to have your living room with all its character, love, and passion for life!
