The Head Cold

Well I thought I had bypassed the head cold going through the house.

NEGATIVE.

Last night I could feel it setting in.

Couldn't breath all night

Couldn't take a thing....Thanks AJ love you too!

All day it felt as if a vice was squeezing my head but Matteo still wanted to play and read books...I was just waiting for nap time that I might get to sit down, perhaps close my eyes, take a steam shower to ease the stuffy nose.

Lay Matteo down and the dishwasher fix it man shows up.

The guy who supposedly fixed it last week and we paid (a hefty sum) but it continued to leak the next day. So he was going to come Tuesday, wait no Wednesday, oh wait lets reschedule that for Friday.

He proceeds to run test after test.

According to him nothing is wrong with it.

My head is pound.

He decides the problem must be with how I load it. I obviously over stuff it I guess. The dude flat out askes me "are you sure you dont put cookie sheets in there?" (If you saw my dishwasher you know this was a stupid questions.

Did I mention I have been running the dishwashers for last 2.5 yrs with no problem until now

Then proceeds to say there is nothing wrong...like I am the idiot. He wants to know when we saw it was leaking which one, what was in it.. I want to shout at him "I am pregnant a mother of three living in a house hold of 9 and we have been hand washing dishes for 2wks now...I am sorry I didn't have time to investigate and make note of the leaking process...isn't that what I am paying you for?!?"

Did I mention I was also told about how we should not have put hardwood floors in our kicthen (I didnt the previous owners did) that tile is much better and we should consider putting in tile becuase in a kicthen there is water...and it went on...I wanted to yell and scream but just stood there and said "oh..uh huh."

Needless to say the man walked out just as I had to head out to pick up kids from school...

So long moment of peace and quiet...so long nap...I guess I will try to remove the vice from my head after the kids go to bed.

Even Safer

This morning both my mom and I found ourselves Husband less due to their various commitments. My dear sweet mom was going to work on her school work all day but instead decide to become our cruise director for the morning. After her and I spend about an hour sewing while the kids did art projects and played outside, she got the wild hair to load us all up and go get roller skates for the whole crew. (The children have been asking for them for quite awhile now.) Off we went and before you knew it we were home with skates for everyone, yes even the two-year-old. Which I had to laugh about because if I though the skateboard thing was walking on the line, with 3 kids ages 2, 4 and 7 on roller stakes for the first time....lets just say we had phone in hand and 911 on spend dial!

Safe

The kids had a blast this morning riding skateboards. After watching for a few minutes I had to get the camera because I had a question to throw out there:

Does this appear to be just a little unsafe to anyone else? But how can you say no when they are getting so much joy out of it?

Don't worry no one was injured in the taking of these pictures.

30 Weeks

Time goes by so fast. It seems like just a few weeks ago I announced I was pregnant, then that is was a boy and now here I am at 30 weeks. Down to count weeks on my hands. We haven't done anything to get ready for this baby yet. We still need to get an infant car seat, I sold our last one after Matteo was done with it because I assumed it would be out of commission before the next baby (accord to "the people" you are supposed to throw out a car seat after 6yr we had ours for 5yr). We need to dig out the baby boys clothes and the cradle but the good thing is we still have 10wks, well 8-9wks if he comes when I am telling him to!

Had an appointment with my OB and everything looks great. Baby looks good he is head down at the moment. I am pretty sure he flips daily so who knows now. I have to do a shout out to my trainer in Texas, Alma, thanks to her wonderful help and teaching me how to workout and be healthy I am proud to say that I am currently 20lbs lighter then I was Matteo at 30wk and 25-30lbs lighter then I was with Serafina!! YEAH, YEAH, less to lose on the other side. I might get back in my skinny jeans!

There you have it my pregnancy to date poured out for you all to read. And since I am feeling good about my overall health and look you all get a 30wk tummy picture, enjoy.

Rainy Days

As many know we have had a little bit more rain around here then usual. For the farmers, the hills and all things that grow outside, it has been very nice. For my 3 little children it has been a little harder. Made of course a little harder, let me remind you again, by the fact we are operating minus two bedrooms and a playroom.

So this last Saturday when I awoke to rain once more I new I need a game plan. What was something the children hadn't done in a long time they loved?! And that was when I saw it outside full of nasty rain water.....

the water table!

It was brilliant.

Out I went in the rain dumped the nasty water out, brought it inside and placed it in the shower.

After a good cleaning and some warm water my two-year-old was happy for hours....hours!!

Yeah for huge showers and water tables!

Nothing like splashing indoors when its raining outside!
