Married?

Oh yes that's right I am!! After reviewing my blog it looks as though I only have kids. I never post about my husband and myself; it really is all about them. However a few weeks ago we got out for an evening away with out the kiddo's and went to the Symphony Ball. The Symphony Ball is a year black tie affair to raise money to support our local symphony. We had a great time, my mom and dad, Trevor and Jen, Robob, and our friend's The Burn's all joined us. The theme for the event was French, which meant we enjoyed a French style dinner, listen to music and watch dance all from France. It was a blast, just getting dressed up and having an adult conversation for an evening, getting to have a few drinks and go dancing.

The reason for the post is to share pictures of my dress (of course), this was the best part of the evening. I borrowed it from my sister-in-law Karlee (THANKS) It matched the theme and was different and gorgeous, what more could a girl ask for. Plus my hubby always looks good in a tux (by the way, my procrastinator husband never got measured for his tux, the turkey, so we had to by a tux the day before the dinner, we now own that tux he is wear, anyone want to rent a tux, we are open for business, got to make back some dough!! =)

None of the pictures turned out great, don't know why, it was like a high school prom thing?!? Matt's expression, my expression, don't ask why we are both looking up?!? Just go with it! (by the way he does look handsome don't you think.) And also a little shout out to the Wardrobe, they are the ones who outfitted my husband in less then 24hr. They had him hemmed, taken in and out the door, THANK YOU WARDROBE!!

The back of my dress, got to love big red bows!

Third born or Boy?

Today was a big day in the Regusci household: Matteo got his first pair of shoes. Yes he has gone through two pairs of the Robeez boots but today he got a really pair of shoes for walking, you heard me right, walking!! As we drove over to Daddies office to show off our new pair of shoes I had to laugh at how this was a big day, because 3 years ago with Serafina we had no big first pair of shoes day. In fact it seemed she had a pair of shoes to match just about every outfit from the day she came home from the hospital. When I got home I had to go back in my photo logs; here are a few photos I found:

Serafina at 9 months, sporting pink striped shoes to match her railroading outfit.

Serafina at 6 months. Don't all 6 month old girls need sandals with flowers?

Serafina at 5 months. Black patent leather, a must have in every girls wardrobe.

Serafina at 2 months: Simple white, (ok so these ones are robeez and technically Matteo did have Robeez boots, but I counted in pictures and I think Serafina had 5 different pairs of Robeez (and that was just in one size!)

The whole thing is just cracking me up. My little daughter had pair after pair of shoes, while my son is getting his first at 16 months of age. You have to laugh, and then I have to ask the question is it a boy thing or is it a third born thing? Here is a picture of the young man in his shoes:

So if If you haven't caught on by now, Matteo is FINALLY walking!! He has been for about 2 maybe 3 weeks. (I have just been a bad blogger) I tried taking some video with my camrea. Hope you enjoy!

Would You Hire Us?

Our family has always loved a good party. Now, my mom and I have a new found a passion in planning and putting together these parties. My mom is great at coming up with the themes, color schemes and how to time lines and I am excellent at the execution of it all. Then my mom comes in and pulls it all together at the last minute; she has an eye for detail. We personally think our parties our wonderful! Which leads us to our new business adventure...Party Planning!!!

Here is an example of our lastest party, a Margarita Beach Bridal Shower: Would you hire us?

The invite: we hand made these invites one night: cost was under $1.50, what you cannot tell in the picture is the chairs, drinks, birds and few other elements are 3d! So cool.

We made margarita sugar cookies, packaged them. Sitting behind them are personalized packets of margarita mixs that say "Life is Good" and have the birde and grooms name and wedding date on them. These were part of the party favors.

The cake, I decide to go ahead and attempt to make this cake myself. I hade been wanting to attempt a teired cake and had seen this design which fit our theme! TADA. Thank goodness it turned out well. Also note the tablerunner, we try to handmake two table runners that match the theme of our parties, this is one of them.

Extra cookies for the guest to eat, while at the party.

The line up of margarita glasses, waiting to get filled.

We hand decorated each glass with a ribbin and charm. Each guest also got to take their glass home with their other favors.

And of course what hawian beach party would not be complete with out Fiji water. (This was our splurg!)

Here are a few close ups of the cake! I was rather proud of my masterpeice. Matt said it was good, but Ace of Cakes still wouldn't hire me.

And the cookies awaiting their packaging.

So... There is one of our parties, all said and done. We have decide that in order to market ourselves we would offer that with every party the Guest of Honor and Host will take home a hand made table runner, matching the theme and our party favors would always include artisan cookies again matching the theme.

When is your next party......

Affordable Mistakes

Heading out the door Thursday morning Sam comes racing out of the bathroom.

"Don't worry mom, I took my tooth pill."

Knowing we have never taken tooth pill's, ever, nor do we keep pills in his bathroom I am wondering what in the world he just ate.

"Excuse me?"

"I took my tooth pill, that was wrapped in the silver stuff in the stuff from school."

I am now putting together my soon-to-be 7 year-old just ate and swallowed an unlabeled pill, from a packet I had asked him not to do anything with until I could explain to him what was in it. I was fuming....I wanted to lecture him on how that could have been a deadly pill of some sort and he could have died, what was he thinking eating something he had no clue what it was. However, I maintain myself...

"Oh..Oh..That is so sad..Thank goodness you are OK. Did you know what that tooth pill was?"

"Well no, but it was in with tooth stuff, so it must be a tooth vitamin."

"Oh Sam, this is so sad....but I am so thankful you are not going to be sick...and are OK...but this is so sad." I leaned down and gave him a big hug.

"What is it, what did I eat? Is it bad? What is going to happen" The panic was great.

"Oh..This is sad, I will talk about in the car, lets just be happy you are OK."

We get to the car and everyone gets buckled up. Sam is silent and nervous, I am running through my head all my love and logic how this is going to play out and at the same time loving letting Sam stew just a little over what he just ate. I ask Sam to smile at me. Deathly afraid of what he has eaten he smiles. "Yup, just what I thought. You didn't brush your teeth today did you?"

"How do you know?"

"Well that pill you took stains your teeth pink to show us where you are not brushing well, you chew it up in your mouth BEFORE you brush your teeth and then you know where to focus your brushing. Well because you didn't brush all your teeth are bright pink now. I wounder how your day will go?"

At that moment Sam went a little nuts in the backseat. "What their pink, my teeth are pink, I need to go brush them. You can't send me to school like this." It was great I just went brain dead. Then he started to wipe his teeth with his clothes, I had to think quick.

"OH-oh- Sam let me tell you another quick thing. The pink will brush off your teeth when you get home tonight. It will stain your clothing. If there is pink on your clothing when you get home, you will be paying me for them."

Silence, except for every 5 minutes or so when he would turn to Serafina and ask if his teeth were still pink. She would gleefully respond yes.

When I picked him up from school, he was happy and joyful. The first thing he did was look and Serafina and ask if his teeth were still pink. She respond with not as pink as this morning but your tongue still is. Sam conclude that he thought his lunch might have brushed some of the pink off. Then I asked how his day went.

"Fine, the kids saw my tongue was pink, but I walked around and talked with my lips over my teeth all day so no one noticed my teeth."

I am happy to say that I think my little guy will not be putting unmarked anything in his mouth for awhile. I even over heard him telling Matteo the other day that that it was not a good idea to putt something in his mouth, then he added, especially if you don't know what it is. Thank goodness, Sam was able to learn from this mistake!
