Drowning in Paint

Why have I not be faithfully updating my blog?

Perhaps it is because I decided that in the middle of summer with all the children home I would instead update my bedroom.  Like total make over, paint, a little demolition action, and decor redo.

Brilliant idea on my part.

But the transformation has been a.m.a.z.i.n.g.

Due to the fact that I had the best people in the world helping me out.

Shout out time to my friend Janice who helped spur me forth in this huge undertaking and was there the whole way through (even when at the last minute I sprung on her that I wanted the bathroom painted too) and is still helping put the finishing touches on the room (i.e. finding the right picture frames and decor.)  Also my mom who lent her hand in color choice (she has to live with it too) and also painting and moral support etc.  And  lastly my dear sweet Husband who is on vacation and there for helped watched all the children!!  Awesomeness.

Now, with out further ado, I am going to post a few before pictures and in the process pictures.  Then you will have to wait for after (because none of my after pictures turned out, I must re shoot them!!)

These white walls make up one long wall that span from my bedroom up into what is the sewing room.  We choose these walls to be the accent wall.

This picture is for you to take note of the hideous TV holder mounted to the wall (yes that is a sneak peak of the color) but please focus on the hideous TV thing.

Its gone!!!
(I might have decided to take it down after we started painting, sue me.)

Again note the way ugly lights and wood on the wall.
Now you see it

 Now you don't.
Seriously you don't know how happy this makes me. I have hated those lights and wood paneling thingy since the day we moved in.

 Our three littlest helpers.

The reason it took 4yrs to work up the courage to paint my room.

 That's high.  Really High.

Here you can see a preview of the neutral color.

Removing tape (again a preview of the final accent color).  I have to say the lighting in the picture makes it look much more mauve/pink then it really is.

And if for some reason you have the crazy idea that I am super women here is my son after a long day of painting note the totally tan paint on his feet and outfit.  Yeah he might have gotten in the paint when I was on a ladder!  Oops.

lol, I got dizzy just looking at that ladder!! And yeah, I'm pretty sure it does indeed make my butt look big, hahahaha. ALL THAT WHITE!! How did you wait so long?!?! Oh yeah...those walls. But soooooooo worth it!! I'd do it again in a heartbeat, demo and all. So when are we doing the living room? I need to come over and finish patching that hole and cutting in that last line with the red! Ah, the devil is in the details. Hooray for home makeover projects (and long bloggy comments).
