True Confessions

The 3 reasons there has been no Christmas post

1. Santa brought the kids the Wii for Christmas
2. Guitar Hero was on sale at Wal-mart two days after Christmas
3. Mom is officially obsessed. A 12 step program might be in need.

Hopefully in the next year the Wii newness will wear off and I might get back to my blogging.

For now you can enjoy some pictures my dad posted: Click here

Now the make me feel like a good parent disclaimer:

To be honest, we are not a huge TV/video game, family but we thought we would bite the bullet and get the Wii. As a anti- video game mom, I must say the Wii is really cool, we obviously hand picked the games we bought the kids, but let me tell you they are either sweating or thinking really hard when they are playing that thing. (Mom, on the other hand, is just rocking out to guitar hero after everyone is in bed but that is a different story).

Santa's Lap

We went and sat on Santa's lap today! The good news is no one cried! The interesting news is; Sam asked for a puppy and Serafina asked for a cat?!? Won't my kids be sad on Christmas when Santa doesn't bring them what they want! So sad...

AGUMCC Chirstmas Program

On Thursday night Serafina's preschool had there Christmas program. Again the little thing was nothing more than a ham. I think she might be destine for a career in the spotlight. Here is the video from her show, she is the one in the red dress. (I am sad to say, that Sam school did not do a Christmas show this year and he choose not so sing in Church on children Sunday, stage fright because we had missed a few Sundays due to the wedding, so we will have to capture him on video performing another time).

Dance

Serafina has found a new passion in live; dance. Since September we have been taking a little beginning dance class at a local dance studio and the kid absolutely loves it. For Christmas the teacher taught the class two little dances and then on the last day of class before the studios Christmas break she invited the parents and anyone else who wanted come and watch the kids dance. Nothing fancy. Noni and Karlee came (as dance class is at 1 in the afternoon) and I video taped it for the rest of the family. Serafina was a ham, so of course I have to share it with the world I hope you all enjoy. As the proud mom I must make note that this class is for kids ages 3-5 and that Serafina is the youngest child in the class. The children standing next her are 4 and 5! She is the one in the black leotard and red tights.

Pictures

Here are a few pictures from the last month or so showing a few of our mile stones and just random moments of fun! To start with is Matteo's first hair cut:

Before

The first cut.

After
Matteo was a very brave boy, we went along with mom to one of her hair cuts and had Rick (a long time friend, new me as a baby) do the first trim!! He now looks like a big boy.

Helping untangle Christmas lights

First time bowling at our good friend Hunter's birthday. Jeff is teaching Serafina.

Sam and Serafina watching the ball slowly make its way down.

Daddy teaching Sam how to bowl.

That is Daddy and Matteo with his girlie Maddie and her daddy Jeff!

The kids hanging out waiting for the Christmas parade to start in the village. Maddie was eating dinner so she missed the picture!

This picture just cracked me up!

Serafina getting her hair cut for the wedding, we were trying to get her higher in the chair, however the ball was not working, but we did get a good laugh!

Her new cut!

First pedicure.

How she loved the pampering.

The finally look.

Well that I think gets us caught up to date for the must part. There are a few things here and there I might throw in as I have time. Hope you all enjoy. And for a quick Matteo update - no he is not walking but he now says oh-oh, bye-bye, da-da and dog. All purposefully!!

Forever

It feels like forever since the last post! There is so much to share with the world in regards to the events of the past weeks but by the end of the day I am so wiped out that the idea of sitting at the computer and uploading pictures seems so daunting it is a no go! My dad on the other hand has put together two websites with pictures that I will kindly provide links to:

One is of our fantastic thanksgiving: click here Following last years tradition we had everyone over here and of course we had a great time. The rest of the weekend was spent decorating the house for Christmas, going to friends birthday parties and going the village Christmas parade. (pictures to follow at a later date, sorry Summer you have to wait longer).

Then the major time sucker has been my brother's wedding: click here There are not pictures from the wedding day it's self but from the weekend and the rehearsal. We all had a great time and it was fun getting to visit with family we have not seen in a long time.

So I hope you all enjoy the picture my dad has and hopefully I will get my own up soon and get back to blogging! I have a lot of stories I want to share, just no energy to get them out!
