Correcting Others Children

You are eating out and there are 3 young boys (4-5yr olds). The boys are turning around and calling your 2month old, who is happy as a clam in his car seat, "Fat Baby" and "Cry Baby". The parents weather they know this is going on or not, do nothing. Do you believe it is all right to say something to get them to stop?

YES. Absolutely. I firmly believe that it really does take a village and that our current societal issue of independence results in kids who do not value authority..."your not my mom!"...I don't care, you are misbehaving and I am your elder. PERIOD. That said, I think you should certainly be tactful...

hey tracy you have a blog, so fun! YES you tell them to stop doing that, geez! I always discipline other peoples' kids when i'm out. if they're being mean, there's just no excuse.

Hey Brianna, I am glad to see you found our blog!! I love reading yours so hopefully you will find my entertaining. Also glad to hear you two are on the same page. This happened to us and I told/ask the boys to stop and the parents gave dirty looks but did finally take charge of their kids. But it bugged me how they reacted, like were do you come off saying something to our kids!! Oh well.
